What KŌLVA is

KŌLVA is a private membership network for ocean travelers. It connects members with independent, owner-run properties and experience providers.

KŌLVA is not a booking platform, a travel agency, or a payment intermediary for stays. Every stay, trip, or experience is arranged directly between you and the host, and the contract for that stay is between you and the host. KŌLVA takes no commission on bookings and is not a party to them.

Membership

Membership is by application and personal review. KŌLVA decides admissions and may decline an application without stating a reason.

Membership is annual and renews at the rate stated when you joined. Founding member rates are locked for as long as the membership remains continuously active. If a membership lapses or is cancelled, the founding rate is not guaranteed on return.

You are in or you are out. A first membership payment can be refunded within 72 hours of purchase, provided no member introduction has been used. Where the consumer law of your country of residence grants a longer mandatory withdrawal period, that period applies instead.

Beyond that window, membership fees are not refundable. You can cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid term, and no portion of the fee is returned. Renewals are not refundable.

KŌLVA can end a membership where a member's conduct harms hosts, other members, or the places the network exists to protect. Fees are not refunded in that case.

Stays and introductions

KŌLVA introduces members to hosts and shares practical information in good faith. Conditions, availability, pricing, and the stay itself are the host's responsibility.

Ocean travel carries real risk. Surf, freediving, sailing, and remote coastlines are not controlled environments. Members assess and accept those risks themselves and are responsible for their own insurance, documents, and preparation.

Contributions to conservation partners

Contributions made through the site go directly to the named partner organization. KŌLVA does not hold or route those funds and takes no fee from them.

KŌLVA makes no representation about the tax treatment of contributions. Whether a contribution is deductible depends on the partner organization and your own tax situation.

Content on kolva.co, including photography supplied by hosts, belongs to its owners and may not be republished without permission.

Information on the site is provided as is. KŌLVA works to keep it accurate and current, and corrects errors when found.

These terms may change as the network grows. Material changes will be communicated to members by email before they take effect.
